Avon Inhibiting and Storage Procedure

 Inhibiting Procedure

The inhibiting procedure must only be carried out following a crank soak wash.

In off-shore installations it is advised that if the gas generator is to remain non-operational for a period
in excess of 3 hours the compressor must be inhibited for all other environments as detailed in the table below.

Check inhibit ring exit holes are unrestricted.

With the ignition and fuel supply off, initiate a starting cycle.

Immediately the gas generator starts to rotate inject 3 pints (1,70 litres) of inhibiting fluid into the compressor.
