Compatibility
The most popular web browsers
available are supplied free of charge by Microsoft and Netscape. Energymanager-online
supports a number of these Microsoft and Netscape Web browser versions.
Our
recommendation is to use either latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer
6.0 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5. Both of these browsers inherently support
the High End Encryption that is required to access the secure areas of the energymanager-online
site.

Internet Explorer Downloads
If
you are using Netscape Navigator then we recommend using Netscape 7.2 which includes
the 128-bit High End Encryption needed to access the secure areas of energymanager-online.

Netscape Downloads
The
absolute minimum recommendation for access to energymanager-online is to use either
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or Netscape Navigator 4.5 browser versions. However
if you choose to use these browser versions you will require the 128-bit High
End Encryption pack to be installed.

Configuration Settings
To ensure that you
can access energymanager-online correctly you may need to check that that appropriate
security configuration has been set on your browser. In most cases these are set
as default and therefore should not need to be changed. However, listed below
are a few browser configuration options that must be set.
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
Version dependent, under the
'Temporary Internet Files - Settings' area of the 'General' tab found within the
'Internet Options' menu item, please ensure that the 'Check for Newer Versions
of Stored Pages' is set to 'Every Visit to the Page'.
Version dependent,
under the security section of the 'Advanced' tab found within the 'Internet Options'
menu item, please ensure that the following are enabled (i.e. ticked)
o
Use SSL 2.0
o Use SSL 3.0
o Warn about invalid site certificates
o
Warn if forms submittal is being redirected
When using Internet Explorer,
please ensure that the security settings for 'Privacy' is set to LESS than high
Netscape
Navigator
Version dependent, under the 'Advanced'
/ 'Cache' section of the 'Preferences' option found on the 'Edit' menu item, please
ensure that the following are enabled (i.e. ticked)
o Every Time.
Display
Settings
energymanager-online is ideally suited
to a display resolution of 1024 x 768, though a display resolution of 800 x 600
is adequate. Also the website is ideally suited to a colour depth of 16-bit High
Color or above.
